Hagere Mariam und Gimbi - Juni 2009
“God will come…then the eyes of the blind will be opened, and the ears of the deaf will be unstopped. Then the lame will leap like a deer, and the tongue of the dumb will shout for joy. For waters will break forth in the wilderness and streams on the desert.” Isaiah 35:4-6
The above scripture was fulfilled last month at our crusade in Hagere Mariam, in Ethiopia. What we experienced was so fantastic that we were amazed. Blind eyes were opened, paralyzed people were healed, the deaf heard, the dumb spoke and a number of tumors vanished. The healings were so outstanding that all of us were very excited. One woman said that she had a tumor for 2 years and looked like a pregnant woman. During the prayer for the sick the tumor disappeared. Another woman had to vomit during the prayer and afterwards her tumor was gone. Another woman, given up by doctors, travelled 100km to the crusade and was completely healed of cancer. One boy who was blind on one eye for 11 years – a piece of wood damaged his eye when he was a kid – received his eyesight. Another boy, deaf for 7 years, received his hearing. He came with his mother to the platform to testify. During a break at the pastors seminar one of the pastors brought his sister to me for prayer. She was deaf on one ear and couldn’t speak properly. I prayed for her right on the spot and suddenly she could hear. I prayed again for her speech and she started to speak. In the evening she came onto the platform to testify. The second night I called for the blind, deaf and dumb and for cancer victims to come forward for prayer. A number of them received healing. There were some amazing testimonies of cancers being healed.
He was blind on one eye for 11 years. Now he can see.
She was deaf on one ear and couldn’t speak.
Here she testifies of her healing.
She was deaf on both ears and now she can hear. She had a tumor and during the prayer for healing she vomited three times and her tumor was gone.
Here wer are in Gimbi for the second crusade. The townhall was packed with about 3500 people, africastyle. Because of rainseason we used the hall. Pastor Curtis Taylor from Switzerland accompanied me and taught every morning.
About 300 pastors attended the pastors seminar in the mornings and some went 100 km by foot, some 60 km, others 20 km. We went to a very poor are down south, no running water, no electricity but God poured out his blessings and nothing else mattered. The joy and excitement of the believers is contagious. All things are possible if the Holy Spirit falls. The second week of June we went to Gimbi, western part of Ethiopia. It took us 13 hours bustravel on bad roads to reach the city. The local Assembly of God church rented the townhall for a crusade. The hunger of the peole was enormous and about 3500 people pushed onto the hall. We had to press through the crowd to get inside. The last day the hall was packe at 8.30 a.m. and the service begun at 9.30 a.m. The peole stayed all day long till 8 p.m. We saw many respong to the call of salvation and also quite a number of healings occurred. God gave us favor to preach the gospel in Ethiopia and our next two crusades will be in October. They are being organized by Pastor Tessema, who is the head of Evangelical Churches Fellowship of Southethiopia. About 15.000 churches belong to the fellowship. The cost for both crusades will be around $ 20.000. I am going in faith again, believing that God will provide the means. Please pray for it because it will take a miracle to raise the money. We are also planning one crusade in November and one in December. Beginning from next year wer are planning to have a gospelcrusade every month in Ethiopia. I am trusting God to give us the necessary finances, because the harvest it truly ripe. “Put in your sickle and reap, because the hour to reap has come, because the harvest of the earth is ripe. And he who sat on the cloud swung his sickle over the earth; and the earth was reaped.” We are gods fellow workers, his reapers to bring in the harvest.
Yours in Christ!
