Oct. 14 – 28, I have been again in Ehtiopia fort wo gospel crusades, one in Yirgalem and one in Shamena. The meetings in Yirgalem took place in a local church, ecause of the rain every evening. Around 2000 people gathered there. The Holy Spirit moved mightily and many were touched and healed by the power of the Holy Spirit. Most of the healings were growth and tumors disappearing. One woman testified that after prayer her goiter has disappeared. Another woman testified that her growth on her hip had vanished, and now she can move around freely again (see second picture). A man testified that his voice has come back. Doctors told him he will never have his voice back again. Last Sunday it was raining heavily in Shamena our last crusade. I thought the people won’t be back for the afternoon meeting, but after the rain stopped they were all back again – around 8 – 10.000 people, (see picture on the left).
The Lord confirmed his word again with signs and wonders. Many came forward to give their lives to Jesus or to come back to Jesus and make things right in their lives. On Sunday afternoon the Holy Spirit fell upon many hungry hearts. We also saw a number of wonderful healings. One girl whose hands were lame testified and demonstrated how she can now move her fingers and her hands, One man testified that his arm was paralyzed and now he can move his arm freely (see picture). Another woman testified that she had a tumor in her belly which was hard like a stone. After prayer the tumor was gone. In Addis Abeba I preached in a Mennonite church and we had similar testimonies.
No man can make someone get saved or heal a person. This is the work of the Holy Spirit. For this reason Jesus baptized us with the Holy Spirit that we can continue his ministry on the earth. The Holy Spirit is the key to mission and evangelism.
I want to thank everyone who contributed to these crusades by prayer and financial support. The next crusade will take place during the first week of December and than another crusade middle of January. As long as the door to Ethiopia is open I will go there and do gospel crusades. Please pray for the needed finances. It is a miracle to me that the money has come every time and I was able to go. I never thought of Ethiopia, that I would go there and conduct gospel crusades, but we should always stay open for the guidance of the Holy Spirit and go wherever He sends us.
